  • Desupport of DynaOrder and use with InterActive Brokers

I use E-signal, DynaOrder, and Interactive Brokers. In the past few months, I think that DynaOrder has just fallen off a cliff and I have no real idea what will happen regarding support of that product and its use as a gateway through which to route orders to IB.

The last time I checked on entering orders directly from E-Signal, it was many versions ago, and I always heard that it is not up to Prime Time just yet.

If DynaOrder is no longer supported, can anyone recommend what can replace that piece as middleware between E-Sig and IB, or is E-Sig planning on anything soon to make this functionality happen? It would be a great advantage, I think TradeStation does lots of this already . . .

    Regards,

    more information . . .

I found the links to these articles:

But it seems as if there is no way to get the fill price back after you placed your order. What about the concept of the checking to see if the order was filled, not to mention how reliable these methods are.

I just am not sure why there would not be a significant push in this direction to integrate this aspect seemlessly into E-Signal.

Can a member of E-Signal please comment if possible?

      Hello arbifox,

The links you posted do not bring up a valid page. Please post the related article numbers.

Methods for retrieving fill price etc are not available currently. Please feel free to submit a request for these enhancements to [email protected].

        Here are those links . . .

        Jason,

Let me try again with the links . . .

The point to all this is there is a need to have an accurate method of entering orders in from the EFS directly, and having them route to IB. This is why I use DynaOrder, to bridge this functionality.

If you are using TradeStation, they have this functionality. The functions that you do have are limited in the sense that there is no way to know what your fill was, and there is no way to understand the state of an order. Please correct me if I am wrong, but to my knowledge, this is the final key that is lacking.

If this is indeed missing, just let me know, I will be happy to place suggestions in the idea area.

        Regards,

        Thomas.
