Are there release notes anywhere?

In particular what is the Freeze function?

Also your post says it is free but the web site says free for a limited time. What are the pricing options going to be (any special rates for beta testers!?)?

Hi Buhrmaster,

Yes, we're posting release notes, and have added a link off the VisionTrader website.
The Freeze function allows a user to freeze the activity in the DOM in a fast market. It's still the same centered inside market (best bid/ask vertically next to each other), but gives users the ability to select the precise price desired - useful for some traders in fast markets.

And, yes, VisionTrader is free as a stand-alone application, and will stay that way thanks to the support of our sponsors.
We've also added links back to our online resources, particularly Raging Bull , its new trading education forum BullsEye , and MarketCenter (which is being re-branded to Quote).

Is VT only a standalone app or is it going to be available within eSignal also.

Just curious, why do non-esignal users need the data manager?

Hi Buhrmaster,

Yes, VisionTrader will be integrated into eSignal, probably in version 8.1, as a way to complement/replace existing trading integration components. In addition to the new DOM, we'll be including VT's Order Ticket, Order Defaults, and Position Manager - all big improvements!

We've found the Data Manager (or "DM") to be the most reliable way to provide consistent support to our customers and the best way to grow our products. With it, we can more quickly deploy and support new features.
