    Problems Loading

    I signed up, D/L program and DM. VisionTrader loads and the DOM screen and some other screen appears with a small dialog box advising a new version is available. Click ok to load new version and then VT closes completely with no D/L. But the DM continues running green.

    Hi Dave,

    Would you please try launching QuoteTrader again?
    There was an overnight change made to the update alert which has been resolved

    Please excuse the inconvenience, it should now open and operate as expected (let me know).

    Also, the most recent version is 694 (confirmed by clicking "help -> about"), let me know if that's the version you have installed.

      Brent, the update box is now gone. But the program I have loaded is VisionTrader (Not QuoteTrader)
      Ver 1.2.656.1308 Build 10/18/2006

      This is what downloaded after following the sign-up screen on the QuoteTrader site.

            Hi Dave,

            Before, and during this pre-release phase, we've tested installing new versions with, and without unistalling earlier ones, and done so on different PCs/hardware, OSs and desktop configurations, and haven't found any issues. So that shouldn't be an issue.
            However, we'd very much appreciate any comments you have about your experience (installing the update over a previous installation).

            The advantage of installing over an earlier install is you don't delete any workspaces or broker settings you may have created.

              DOM is not showing up ???

              Hi Brent... I located you today at http://www.esignal.com/quotetrader/ while searching for the DOM software... it looked very good... registered... downloaded [eSignal Data Mgr] and [qtrader.exe from your forum]... installed... and do not see any DOM Window or QuoteTrader as per http://www.esignal.com/quotetrader/f...asp#cutting...

              I just see the regular trading window... see attached... and Errors, Connection Blocked, etc... it looks like QuoteTrader is not working with supplied eSignal data and its Simulated Trading engine feed... can you help...?

              What shows is OANDA... I have a demo account with them... but would like to try your demo feed first... how should I put this all together...?

              Also, would like to register for your webinar...
              QuoteTrader webinar this Thursday, December 14, at 9am pacific, 12pm eastern.

                "Pop Out" Windows in QuoteTrader

                Hi EnkiJr,

                I'll send you a PM to schedule a demo.

                In the meantime, here's a quick answer about the windows in QuoteTrader, and how they can be laid out.

                The default layout has the Trade Manager window "popped out" of QuoteTrader.
                In the image you've posted, it's in QuoteTrader.
                You can either maximize QuoteTrader, and re-position the Trade Manager inside, or click
                the red circle in the image below and re-position the Trade Manager outside QuoteTrader
