  • TWSlink hangs esignal

I'm just trying out twslink to interface efs to TWS. The problem is that if I execute twslink's INITDLL, esignal will freeze if I then try to remove the efs study that uses twslink, or reload the efs, or change the chart symbol. I have to then kill esignal with windows task manager.

Twslink appears to work OK with TWS, as after INITDLL, I can register symbols, and place orders successfully through TWS.
I'm using esignal 8.0 (the latest version) , and Java 6.

This problem happens every time. It seems like maybe esignal can't remove the efs script because it is waiting for the dll to complete?
Does anyone know if there is a solution for this?

    thanks,

    Hi tecesig,
I use TWSLink and had the same problem and it was because I did not do things in the right order. I do the following:
    1. Initdll (not required per the author)
    2. connect
    3. accept connection with IB
    4. register contract
    5. then whatever ......

You can put the steps in your code and not use the buttons that come with the sample efs.
