  • IB plugin still keeps trying to get connected with IB TWS

    The new IB plugin (built 1142) still always tries to get connected when IB TWS is not opened untill the user clicks the "Disconnect" button. I reported this issue but it seems that it has not been fixed yet. I think the better design would be not to do any retry if the first time eSignal is started and IB TWS was not detected. Retrying to get connected is only required after the existing connection gets lost.

    Hi clearpics.

    This behavior (trying to connect until user says "disconnect" explicitly) is by design. But once you've said "disconnect", WinSig must remember it and do not try to connect any longer even after you restart it. Does it behave in this way?

      No, it does not remember whether I has clicked "disconnect" or not. Each time I restart eSignal, it keeps retrying to connect. ( My IB TWS was not started when I did the tests. ) It would be better to add an option in IB Plugin setting.

          Confirmed, will be adrressed in the nearest eSignal release.
