Interactive Brokers plugin help please

Hi,
I am re-visiting trying to get the IB pluging to work. It seems to work fine for Market Orders, but for LMT orders I get an error :

"Discretionary amount does not conform to the minimum price variation for this contract."

Does anyone know what I might need to change ?

( Also, I tried playing with this with the edemo account, but got the error :
"Simulated account connections are not permitted" ... pretty sure it used to work

Hello Dave,

Let's start with the easy one... The edemo account has been disabled so you may want to remove that from your list of usernames.

Discretionary amount does not conform to the minimum price variation for this contract."

The message is based on variable you have set up in TWS under the Orders-->Preset. These settings can be based on price, number of contracts or even ticks.

The setting can be turned on or off by adding or removing the checkmark from the Bypass Order Precautions fom API orders in the API (Configure-->API-->All Settings) tab of the Configuration window in TWS.
