  • eSignal seems to have placed and closed orders to Interactive Brokers

I have just setup integrated trading with Interactive Brokers. The default broker is paper trade. I have not opened any orders.

All of a sudden, I was notified that positions were opened.

I opened the Account Manager and here is what I found:

    1) The Orders tab is blank.
    2) The Positions tab shows 4 positions
    3) The Executions tab is blank
    4) The Messages tab shows many positions that were opened, and many positions that were closed. A copy of the Messages tab is attached.

Can anyone explain to me what happened here?

The orders that are displaying in the Account Manager would have to be sent over from TWS. Meaning that prior to setting up the integration you held those positions.
If you're sure you didn't place the trades the best way to track them is by using Trader’s Workstation Audit Trail ([b] View->Audit Trail [/b ]. This will give you the complete history of your trades. From there, any discrepancies would need to be worked out with Interactive Brokers.

Hopefully this will give you the necessary information you’ll need to track these trades.
