problem with chart trading and symbol mapping with IB

Every time I click on either Buy or Sell on the chart, the "Create New Symbol" pops up even though I've already mapped the symbol to IB.

I'm trading HSI May futures, symbol: HSI K1-HKF. Under Trade> IB > Symbol Mapping, there's an entry for "HSI K1". Symbol ID and the rest of the details were found using automap.

Putting in a manual order works fine (i.e. Trade>IB>New Order)

The symbol in the chart MUST MATCH EXACTLY the symbol in the Symbol Mapping Window. Any variation of this will cause the new symbol mapping window to appear.




To fix your symbol (Click Trade, Interactive Brokers, Symbol Mapping) double click on the HSI K1 entry and in the Symbol box add the -HKF extension on the end.
