eSignal 11 + FXCM API

Could someone please let me know what is going on with the FXCM API. I followed all the instructions on installing this plugin form the Esignal site.

Every time I try and place a trade after successfully connecting to the FXCM Brocker in Trade Manager

ie. buyMarket(symbol, 1)

it says: Insufficient margin in session?
I know this is not true because I can make a trade directly from the FXCM Micro Trading Station II and I get no such errors?

Could this be do to the fact that I have a micro FXCM Account? My understanding was that one could still use the API even with a micro account?

Please advise.


In addition, does the newest plug-gin fix the problem of hedge trading ?

What is the workaround? Does closePosition() work?

Thank you for the post and we apologize for the issues that you've encountered with the FXCM plug in. We've discovered that the plug-in does not support Micro Accounts.

We're working on a solution so that these types of accounts will work. Right now I don't have any more information but once I have it I'll post back.
