I recently started day trading with E-sig. I am also taking a day trading class online. It seems my tick runs abput 5 min behind my instructors'. Why is this? If it is all electronic shouldn't it be the sames time frame? Or am I missing something?

Five minutes is pretty significant. I'm guessing all of the applicable exchanges have been added to your account. If you could provide some symbols that you are comparing to your instructors quotes, we can begin to take a look at where the discrepancy may be generating from. If the real time exchanges haven't been added to your account, I've included the following FAQ which outlines the standard delay times for the various markets we carry.
