Hello,

This may be a dumb question, however can someone please tell me why I can see a chart for BED but not for BEDPRB?

Hi Carlton,

All standard NYSE issues are either 1, 2 or 3 characters. When you see additional characters, it's an extended symbol - like a class stock, preferred, warrant, etc. You then need to check our Symbol Formats page to see how these extended symbols are entered in eSignal.

In this case, BED is the common stock, BED/PB appears to be the Preferred Class B issue.

Figuring out formats will get a whole lot easier with the new Symbol Search engine in 7.7. You can search for "Bedford" and get a listing with the symbols already formatted properly for use in eSignal. You can test out the release candidate or wait until we go Gold later this month.
