I've been studying trading for probably the best part of 9 months now. I've certainly learnt a lot. There are things that I can talk about and consider now that would simply have been alien to me 9 months ago.
From considering the different types of trading available, it's interesting how my mind has been attracted to a particular type of trading - namely momentum investing using eSignal scanners - the volatility and chances of fast movements makes for the possibility of exciting trades.
I would not say that I have a natural ability for this sort of thing at all but I've always felt that with enough graft, perseverance and determination I will eventually get there in the end. I'm relatively young (29) and so kind of feel there is time to develop.
However, whilst I understand the concepts involved with the eSignal scanner strategies, actually executing on the real level is vastly different and stressful.
I mean is the secret to successful trading really as simply as observing the indicators correctly and reacting to them accordingly.
I guess I don't have enough confidence in my ability yet. I guess this further emphasises the need for a structured strategy before entering positions so as to erase that doubt as much as possible.
I'm very wary of the amount of time I'm investing in this venture and am just angst ridden as to whether I should carry on or I should change tack.
