Have FIFO Need LIFO

Greetings:

I am implementing a strategy that pyramids and it appears that the First In First Out (FIFO) strategy is used to close out a position. My strategy depends on a Last In First Out (LIFO) strategy to get things right. Is my observation correct that a FIFO organization is used to exit trades and if so is there a way to specify LIFO?
