  • Chart of Interest-Con't.

All in all the market is in good shape. The economy
has momentum of it's own and profits are good.

The over-reaction on potentially higher interest rate
is a bit premature IMO....Low rates are still here
    and liquidity is good.

The Dollar is still on trend...........

    EDIT: chart update

    Cool!

    • Bullish Reversal

....Nice Reversal. Watch how the market moves through resistance.
Confidence/sentiment was good thus, the charts reflected move.

      BTW, testing the gap also.

Be bold in what you stand for and careful what you fall for.

      Be trader smart!

I'm not that bearish, watch the 40ma just the same.

Fall seven times, stand up eight.

What on earth are you looking @?

Don't get me wrong -- I'm all for a rally here... I got heavily stooped when the NQ broke it's 200-day MA on the 60m chart. Didn't expect that.

I think the possibilities are good for either direction. A LOT of 'longs' out there now that are holding through this pullback. But, with everyone saying LONG -- short seems like the answer.

I guess your statement, trading range, may play out for a month or so while we pick a direction?

I never really looked @ the 120M timeframe -- that's an interesting picture... Makes the NQ far more apparent in direction. Thanks.

                  • Market Expectations- Perspectives vs Reality

                    Hi Soylent,

I was making a general statement on the market condition and sentiment.
However, the market and economy are two different things.

Market rational and trading don't always make sense or logic.
What I see is; Technical analysis diverging Fundamental analysis.

Business climate is good, profits are good, interest rates are good. etc.

Markets are lively and liquid........markets go up and down. It's never easy!

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

..........Isn't trading for a living fun?

                    Life is subjective.

                    Be wise,
                    ~j

BTW, If the Dow drops another 400 pts, then that's a perspective
that changes things? Sentiment wise, anyway? Money is always in rotation.
...stock picking is always an art.

                    • Watchlists/Scans-Sorting After Hours Market Movers

In a stock pickers market traders need to be aware
of sector rotation and current stocks of interest.

One way to see the active stocks in pre-market is to sort your quotesheets
by after hours trades(right click on quotesheet/ add field)

I try to avoid looking forward or backward, and try to keep looking upward.

Fear cannot be without hope nor hope without fear.

Since fear is unreasonable, never try to reason with it.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that
something else is more important than fear.

                          • Interesting Day-Reversal?

There is often less danger in the things we fear than in the things we desire.

We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others
judge us by what we have already done.

It looked like a good day for traders, I was away
doing. Quotrek kept me appraised of today's action.

The next few days should be equally interesting?
