Ascending/Descending Triangles

Hi Forum members,

I would like to find out if anyone knows how I can get to see stocks that are in Ascending/Descending Triangles?
If not on the system, can someone recommend an EFS that shows it?

It would be a difficult but fascinating challenge to create an EFS that can automatically recognize and draw the triangles on a chart.
Does anyone have suggestions "in words" on the strategy to use to identify the sides of the triangle automatically?
Let's think about it.

Hello,
I worked a bit on the idea of an EFS able to automatically draw Ascending / Descending Triangles.
What I've attached is a first germ of an idea. It is used to scan the bar from -100 to 0 and to draw all the possible "High trend lines" that are found by scanning.
Obviously this is only the first part of the work. The easiest!
We should now create the code for "Low trendlines" and above all provide a logic that allows EFS to select the correct trendlines to form the sides of the triangle.
Things that unfortunately at this moment I have no time - and perhaps the ability - to do.
However, I am convinced that if implemented could be a powerful tool for trading.

Here is a new improved version.
It automatically draws high and low trendlines,
with a better logic.

far much better than mine.

Thanks a lot for your hekp. I downloaded the formula you sent and found out that thr Triangle is forming only in 30 min. chart

Did you try it yourself?

I am permanently searching for an EFS that could help me with my Day trading.

Do you have any other idea? we could eventually exchange EFS
