Macd Forex??

DOES ANYONE USE MACD IN FOREX TRADING 60 MIN OR SHOTER TIME FRAMES ??? IF SO DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD COMBINATION FOR THE OSC. BECAUSE I'M FINDING THE STANDARD ONE TO JUST WHIPSAW THE WHOLE TIME.
wILL REALLY APPRECIATE ANY INPUT -REALLY FRUSTRATING

I use this MACD study and I can say it works quite well.

First at all you should make two MACD study the same as in attachement.
After push SHIFT and at the same time with the mouse overlap the two MACD and then check throught EDIT STUDY both MACD that have the button SCALE RIGHT allowed.

Hi Sergio ,

Just got a few questions for you:
1) why did you use a source of (h+l+c/3), what's that supposed to do?
2)Secondly,those options you have at the bottom of the macd -display right etc..what are they for ?? and for some reason i don't have them on my charts as an option ?
3)With the macd that you have given me what's the trigger to go long or short i'm not too sure what to do on this one?-and is there an optimal time frame at which this setting works best?

4)Just out of interest on the pic you attached i'm assuming the dotted lines are 6,4 dma's,is that correct ,just curious what exactly are the big fat red and black lines, and how do you use them ?

1) Experimentation
2) maybe you have esignal 7.4 you can download 7.5
3)when fast MACD is above slow MACD both above 0. After check all time frame. It works very good in all time frame.
4) no, in this chart I have Moving Average 9 - 21 - 50 - 200 all Exponential (for me very good).

I suggest to open in your page 6 chart Weekly - Daily - 240 - 180 - 60 - 15 and check how MACD works.

Sergio is it really necessary for me to upgrade to esig 7.5 for scale right toggle buttons on the new macd setting you sent me or can i stick to 7.4 - ie what's the adv of that toggle setting -
I'm a bit scheptical about upgrading because i might lose all my lines on my charts and everything else i have on them

You are not losing anithing.
Upgrade to the b7.5 Gold on top of the other with ttotal confidence. You are not having any of your chart corrupted

I meant you can upgrade the new T.f Gold (final release) on top of the old you have on the Pc. Means no needs to unistall the other.

esignal newbie...how do i merge the two macd studies? i went to the help file and it said click on one study, press shift and drag to the other that you want to merge to...but it doesn't seem to work...would you be able to help me out?

Click on thee shift button first and then mouse click on one macd and move it ontop of the other macd
