    Alex,

Just going back to a post you submitted earlier when you mentioned that its possible to 'keep the two plots always in sync but it would have to be completely rewritten and it is not the simplest of undertakings'.

I was wondering if you could tell me how difficult it really would be? I'm sure it would be tremendously difficult for a novice like me but may be I could get in touch with the person that compiled the script and ask him if he/she could do me a big favour and rewrite it for me if its not too difficult.

    Cheers

    Carlton

      Cpatte,

If you want that efs built you really need to contact one of esignal's partners. I would also suggest you check out this link here to become familiar will all of esignals features and how to operate them.

      Sincerely,

          Alex,

I have been checking out the link you provided on $tick. It would appear that none of those tickextreme scripts actually work. They all appear to be out of sync. I have attached a sample image.

          Cheers

            Cpatte,

It is best that you use $tick in its own chart! I am speaking from expereince.

If in your IBM chart you apply a Time Template that is appropriate for the symbol used in the efs (ie. 9:30-16:00 in the case of $TICK) you will see that the plots are perfectly aligned. In the image below $TICK is plotted using an efs and for comparison purpose also as an overlay in the price window.

                Alex,

Thanks for your patience. However, I really don't like the overlay feature with the $tick. I would much rather have the $tick appear in the label as the tickextreme.efs attempts to do.

I take on board that it would require some complex coding to achieve. All that I'm saying is that the efs's on the site you recommended don't work they way they should i.e. out of sync.

I'm not knocking the scripts, just saying if I had used them in real time they would have provided incorrect information. I have also informed JasonK of my observations.

I really would like for the efs's to be in sync.

                Cheers

                  Cpatte.

First of all the efs does work exactly how it was programmed too!
They may not work the way you want them too... That is why I refered you to seek the assistance of Esignal's sencond party developers. It appears you are just not familiar, and do not understand the process of the way efs's work based on its built criteria. All scripts posted in esignal are out of good will of esignal or others! If you have specific needs you need to fullfill them with one of the developers.

                    Fibbgann,

I'm afraid you may have taken my comments out of context. First I want to say that I'm already deeply indebted to people like Alex, JasonK, Chris and you for all the help you guys have freely provided me - and I haven't even put on a trade yet!

I agree that I'm still on a steep learning curve and clearlyy don't understand some of the concepts posted on this forum. However, I do hope to become a great trader and I have thousands of questions to ask before I feel competent to really start trading.

I was just enquiring as to why the attached efs was out of sync. Alex explained and I just thinking why Jason would post the script if "may be" the information would be slightly out of sync with the actual $tick.

                    Cheers

                    Carlton

Hopefully that will power will transcend into my trading.

                          Fibgann,

You posted the attached chart a while back. Would you happen to have the script for it?

                          Cheers

                            Alex/Fibgann,

I hope you guys come back to this post, because I think I know why the APRS stock was out of sync. I believe that it was out of sync simply because its not traded on the NYSE. If you remember, the sync problem only occured while comparing with $TICK with APRS but not when comparing with IBM.

Its 2:40am so I might not be making a great of sense - I'm very sleepy but I had to submit this post before going to bed. I really would like your feedback on this.

                            Cheers guys

                              Alex/Fibbgann,

Forget my last post. I tested the tickextreme.efs on a another nyse stock and still slightly out of sync.

                              Thanks anyway.

Find A Way and Master it at its best

                                Carlton

My understanding is that your young age brings as usually towards exuberance. And this is right.

The advice I can give you are the same I gave to silverxx

                                A) Find a consistent fashion of approaching the markets: master it at its best and keep improving it. This Approach should be part of your skin. One and one only .At the beginning. ( couple of years at least?)

                                B) Is not the EFS nor the soft: is who is BEYOND the machine and in front of the chart. Never blame disfunctions: is you ( or me) that are wrong , not the market. He is - by definition- ALWAYS RIGHT.

                                C) Start trading at least on paper so you can prove yourself. You maybe are not make for trading but just for analysis.

                                D) Start Trading real money: the whole story changes. Do you sweat a lot and panic when you are in loss ? Sort of anguish when the market do not goes in your direction? In your thoughts you find often the word "I hope......" great euphoria when are in profit? if is it so well think about the number of hours you spending on this "toy". Maybe you can use them with something more profitable which will make feel better.

Do not blame the "gimmick and the little toys": they are "hints" : you trade , you choose.Do not actually dare, since lot of people is supporting you in a "no path" education for free. So thanks and try to "exchange" to the others with something useful : a community is based on exchange. Reflect: what you given back to this community in return of all the answer and similia received?

Nobody else can decide for you . And there is no net to hold you if you are wrong.

This is hamburger hill Carlton, and is not a play. Since we ALL deal with a serious thing ( albeit only simple dirty sheets of paper) Like Money.
