CCI & $Tick Information

I've noticed alot of people seem to put faith in CCI. I trade mostly the NQ and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to look into it. Any links would be appreciated.

I also have no idea what $tick is, and was wondering if anyone could link me to an explanation.
