Nasdaq v NYSE

Hi,

Now I feel like I'm getting lazy. I'm coming to this forum for almost every question I have on my mind - when I really should do some research first. However, you guys are always so helpful.

Anyway, can someone please tell the differences between trading stocks on Nasdag and those on NYSE - including the advangages and disadvantages?

Nasdaq stocks: Fast moving, faster fills, more volitale

NYSE is the exact opposite.

You should also do some reading on the difference between a specialist based exchange (NYSE) and one that uses Market Makers (NASDAQ).

There are some interesting differences that can have implications on how you trade (or even if you trade em).
