    Hello.
I made a small program to retreive the price of XAU & XAG using the ActiveX technology ... It was working fine till today when it stopped ... what is strange is that the eSignal equities is getting updates from the internet but my program is just quit !!
Do you know what could be the problam of the ActiveX program?
    Thanks.

    Of Course!

ActiveX has never worked! Even on its good days.
    Why is this so problematic?

        Hello.
I think that the problem is from the eSignal site !!
I hope that they will fix this problem ASAP ... It is urgent.
        Thanks.

We are investigating this report. Until we have a solution, it would be helpful if you could email a few details to [email protected] along with your user name, so we can look at our server logs to investigate further. The user name is critical, so please make sure to include that.

Again, we are investigating, and will post back here with any details on the matter.

What version of eSignal are either of you running? Could you try upgrading to 7.5 build 628? That has a new version of the Data Manager in it and may solve the issue. You can download the latest version of eSignal by going to http://www.esignal.com/download/default.asp

              Hello.
              The problem is solved today
My Program just continued to work as normally ... but I want to be sure that this will not happen again because our business froze yesterday for 9 hours because of this
and about the updates of eSignal , I think that we ( as a customers of eSignal ) should be informed about any new updates of the program even if it is minor builds !!!
I hope that eSignal will consider this.
              Thanks.

                    Hi Adel,

When you say service stopped, are you saying that you receive no quotes within eSignal? Or just into your Active X application?

                    Andy

                      Hello.
I can see updates coming to eSignal program but my program which is using the ActiveX control is not updating ( like the eSignal program ) .
My program was working fine for around 5 months ... So I think the problem is from your side.
You can see also that another customer had the same problem as mine so I think it assures that the problem is from your side.
Another issue that you should consider is that the activeX is not updating everyday starting from 1 PM ( GMT + 3 ) & for 11 hours !!
                      Thank you.

                        Hi Adel,

Did you upgrade to v 7.5 build 628 just prior to the problem or did the problem first happen and then you upgraded?

                        Let me know.

                        Thanks,
                        Andy

Does this problem always occur at exactly 1:00PM your time? Does it occur for every symbol, or just certain symbols? Are you watching for bar changes, time and sales changes, or onQuoteChanges? Does it stop for all three?

                            Hi,

Does the ActiveX data stop flowing at precisely 1pm (GMT+3) every day?

For which symbols does data stop working? All of them, or just some (and if some, which ones)?

What sort of data are you requesting?

                            Cheers,

                            Simon.
