Almost perfect Wayne and many thanks for your troubles but when choosing "coloured Background" the cloud reverts to one colour from two regardless of Senkou Span A above or below Span B . . . revert back to "Solid Line" and the two different cloud colours re-appear.

Really am grateful for your time Wayne and if it's a difficult one to overcome, then I shall just get used to the vertical lines :-)

    Best regards,

Impatient as I am, I couldn't wait for someone to come up with yet another version of the Ichimoku, so I extended the one given by eSignal to provide the extended bit on the chart. It should be alright for the moment.

I coded it very quickly and late at night so please check to make sure it works alright

    Any feedback is most welcome

    Thanks

Max/gekko71 . . . not sure if you're still around but came upon your Ichimoku.efs which is fantastic thank you . . . one question: is it possible to add an option to have the cloud a choice of solid colours rather than vertical lines . . . . a cosmetic option I grant you and I have tried to adapt your script but this addition is beyond my skills unfortunately.

Thanking you or anyone reading this for some inspiration as to how to implement this addition.

    Regards,

Unable to edit past post. Yes, it does time shift. The issue was with the multiple versions of the script posted in this thread. The latest one works great.

It will still be nice to have it as a in-built study.

I would like to add a "+1" to this request. Ichimoku is a nice tool and it will be great to have it native. The current version (from share site) is usable, but has some issues like no time shifting into future, and it will be good to have a clean and functional study.

    Ichimoku Update for 11.1

Is it possible to get Ichimoku updated and put as a built-in study? The current efs for Ichimoku is archaic looking and it would be nice if the cloud would change colors as the trend changes. With the advancements of 11.1 and the updated interface, it would be nice if the Ichimoku study could be updated likewise.

Does anyone know if this can be done?

it would be nice if the cloud could be made solid. the best it can do is stripes, but that's just not nice enough. can someone add code to make it solid also?

    Ichimoku Interval

For anyone looking regarding the last post, I did just find an efs that already exists in Alexis' fileshare (ACM Test). It is titled Ichimoku2c.efs. Sorry...don't know how to put links in this thread. Thanks to Alexis as always.

    Ichimoku Interval

Can anyone help me apply an interval option into this formula? I tried but am having difficulty as the script is more complicated than my knowledge allows. It seems there are severals areas where it needs to be edited and I can't quite get it right. Thanks much.

Whomever wrote the code for the extension, thank you VERY much!

This is the main indicator I use and have been manually plotting the extension in excel which is a big pain to do for every market.

    Thanks again!

The EFS posted below does draw the extension. Just FYI for those searching in the future.

    Thanks.

    Update: small fix

This new version fixes a problem where only offset-1 (i.e: 25) line segments where printed on the chart as opposed to offset (26).

I also added the option to use dotted line rather than just solid ones (minor thing)

Apologies for not numbering the versions. I guess I never thought it would take several attempts to get the indicator just right...

Please let me know if there's anything wrong with it.

    Thanks

    Max
