  • O.i. And Linear Regression (or Squared)

    Hi

I'm triyng to place in an non price study like O.I. a Linear Regression
I found it impossible with FW .
Anyone has suggestions on how to loop in F. wizard or if there is an efs (maybe a volume one?) suitable to be adapted changing few lines in the Editor?

And how about if I wished it squared and not linear?

The mission is to normalize the OI against the abnormus increasing close to the expiration and to get the average number of O.I. per day.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Cordailly

    Fabrizio,

Try this EFS. It's a OI histogram with a Least Square MA plotted on it.

      Thank you very much......

One suggestion : how to create the average daily open interest to create a benchmark?

Is it the number in the O.I. Study? can be pulled out in some way and then averaged?

      Thanks again

An average daily open interest can be calculated using a simple moving average. You just need to know how many data records to take into account for the calculation of the average. Attached is a Open Interest histogram with a simple MA plotted on it (averaging the Open Interest).
