New Scripts

Chris,

I'm having problems with the voulme profile studies. I'm trying to use them with NI 1!-SI and NI U6-SI which has a price increment of 5. However I keep getting two error messages:

1). Not enough data, or
2). The frPriceIncrement, 5, is invalid.

Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks!!!

I have noticed that your PivotConsole.efs
has been returning bad calculations. Here is a comparison with the PivotPointAll.efs

If I am misunderstanding something could you please explain?

You may want to double-check the "Force RTH" menu option in PivotConsole and make sure that it is set to "F" (defaults to "T" for true). Below is a snapshot of the same 3-min chart with both scripts loaded and you can see that they match up perfectly.

If ForceRTH is set to True then the script uses the "=2" suffix when loading the symbol to get the RTH-only data.

Adding New Options

I just donwloaded your new pivot console version 1-9-8. Thanks for making the efs available here.

I was just wondering if it was possible to add one more user controlled option.

I like to know tomorrows pivot after todays RTH market close, next weeks pivots after Friday close and Next months at the close of last day of the present month.

Would it be possible to add those options fo the efs.

One thought was to add a user controlled option of using

the day or week or month as 0 (todays data) or -1 (yesterdays data)

that is the ability to switch HLC between yesterday and today for each of the time intervals - D W M

I can do it the simpler scripts and load em in another chart, but thought maybe it was possible in the pivot console. Maybe u can give me some pointers on how to go about it.

I just uploaded a new version of PivotConsole (v2.0.0) that at least allows you to project tomorrow's daily pivots based upon today's OHLC values so far. So if you select the Project Daily option at the end of today's session, you will see an accurate projection of the next session's pivots.

Also updated the menu as well as some of the core logic.

Hi Chris,

the latest Pivot Console crashes Esignal 10 every time with an error message: "the parameter is incorrect".
Downloaded it twice, in case it got corrupted during the download.
Old versions of PC work just fine, been using it forever (thanks again) :-)

Any particular error message in the Formula Output Window? I'm running it under 10.0 here and so far no errors or crashes. What symbol/bar interval are you testing it under and what steps to cause crash?

No Formula Output messages at all.
Just loading the script on an ES 3 Min advanced chart causes esignal to crash with the stated massage.
Got to run now, but I'll re-download it again tomorrow.
Maybe the download gets corrupted even though I tried it twice, we'll see.

The error message and subsequent crash make me think that your computer's timezone is set to GMT + 1 (or higher)
If that is the case then the issue you are seeing is due to a known bug. For the details see this thread which also provides an interim solution.

You are most welcome.
I have not yet looked at the latest code but I suspect that in this version Chris is retrieving the monthly data using the efs2 function which is at the root of this issue. As I indicate in the linked thread eSignal's developers are aware of the issue

The Project Pivots feature is really a nice one. Any chance you could add a button to turn it off and on? That way at end of day or prior to open, you push the button and see the next day pivots. After mkt opens you push the button and turn it off. It would be a lot faster for the user than plowing through the Edit Studies stuff to turn off and on.

Ok, added Project Daily to button bar (P+/-). Also added a Round to Nearest Tick option in the menu which will, as the name suggests, round each pivot line to the nearest tick. You will need to specify the tick value to use in the menu as well.

New version is 2.0.1.
