    Re: Script Update

You ever thought about adding a time element to this script, say price=time^2?

        Time symmetry

I'll have to wait for the weekend as I have to work out the math but just wanted to say love the efs', they work great. Another idea would be an efs based on time symmetry. Jenkins uses this to trade in his books and comes in real handy . I'll attach a screen shot. This one isn't mine but my work is done in weeks and the symmetry from 97 up to 2000 and back down is almost identical.I believe Ganntrader 3 has done it.

          Script Updates

New versions of the Volume Profile scripts (Historical and Realtime) have been uploaded to the File Share area. Biggest changes are support for currencies (in addition to bonds and notes) and the addition of a Value Area calculation. Numerous cosmetic fixes as well. Please review the VPReadme.txt file in the historical script folder for more information.

I have some other ideas but how about this one first. Price=time^2 @say the Dec. 2 high would be a candle count of 31 by this equation. Looking at a chart you will see another high Jan. 15 which is also 45 degrees in time from the Dec 2 high.So a vertical line in time according to the equation which in turn is the time disk for the square of 9.Another example would be the 8/22/02 high is 965 with a time count of 31. 31 days is dam close to the Oct 10 lows and the 31 days is 45 degrees in time.Something like that.

                  FYI:

I posted an EFS help file in the Specialty Scripts group in the File Share area. I basically collected all of the function information available in documents and in messages and compiled them into a standard Windows HLP file. Most functions are cross-referenced and most have sample code snippets.

I just posted a slightly updated help file. This version contains all of the Date documentation as well as the Backtest/Strategy functions and the built-in study reference.

                    Data Access Functions
                    Date/Time Functions
                    Math Functions
                    String Functions
                    Alert Functions
                    Utility Functions
                    Data Storage Functions
                    Function Parameter Class
                    DLL Functions
                    Built-In Study Functions
                    Backtesting/Strategy Functions
                    File I/O Functions

Made some changes to the help file based on some user comments and requests. Also added about 10 functions that I had missed on the first pass. I believe it is now complete and all functions are accounted for.

Lastly, I uploaded two versions of the help... in a standard HLP file format and in the new HTML format (CHM File) which is more commonly used these days. Both help files have the same content, just different display formats.

I put a little RGB color calculator up in the File Share area. You can keep the program running while you are working in the formula editor. When you select a color from the program, the correct "Color.RGB(x,y,z)" statement is copied to your Clipboard so you can just paste it directly into the formula editor (or whatever text editor you use). It will also store up to 16 custom colors.

                                Murrey Math Line Script

I uploaded a new version of the Murrey Math Lines script to the file area. This new version (3.1.0) takes advantage of some of the new EFS features in the eSignal Beta.

                                1. Price display will now be correct when the MM script is used with bonds, notes, currencies, etc.

                                2. When you click on the aqua-colored "Murrey Tool" label that appears below the buttons, a custom Edit Parameters dialog will be displayed making it much easier to change parameters.

If you are not using the new Beta of eSignal, the new script should still work just fine, but the new features will not be available to you.

                                http://share.esignal.com/groupconten...r=&groupid=114

As always, let me know if you run into any problems with the script.
