      Wavelets

For those interested in tinkering with wavelets, I placed a couple of wavelet scripts in the File Area. One plots a filtered signal line (using either a calculated noise threshold or by removing frequency spectrum) and a second displays the frequency spectrum.

        Volume Profile Scripts

I uploaded new versions of the Historical and Realtime Volume Profile scripts. A small rounding error that was causing a discrepancy between the Historical and Realtime scripts (when tested over the same time period) was fixed.

Also, the question was asked whether or not the POC (e.g., price/volume level with the highest volume) can be outside of the Value Area...or should it be restricted to the highest price/volume level within the Value Area. I asked around on this issue and the concensus seems to be that it can be outside of the Value Area. If anyone has a different opinion on this, please let me know.

Uploaded a new version of Historical Volume Profile (V 2.2.0) with a fix for the disappearing Value Area band problem.

New version of PyraTool script uploaded (V1.7.0). New version will maintain state information if you switch between different symbols/intervals on your chart (so now you won't have to re-align Pyratool each time you bounce back and forth between different symbols).

New version of MM script has been uploaded (V3.2.0). Add a new parameter and button to draw Baby Eights (line at midpoint between MM lines). Also cleaned up portions of the basic line draw code.

No answer to this request. Does it mean no?

Not sure if your request is/was for the eSignal folks or me?

As far as EFS goes, I think both could be done. The issue would be how to set the anchor point for these particular studies. For the PyraTool and SquareOf9 scripts I am making use of buttons (e.g., << >>) to allow the user to set the anchor point. It's kludgy but it works. It would be better, of course, to be able to use your mouse to set the anchor point but that capability is not yet in EFS.

So, if you think the button idea would work then I would be glad to take a shot at them. You would need to send me some specs in terms of what exactly you are looking for.

                    Chris,
The request was for you as I think the features I asked for are from the same EFS family as the one you already realized.

I am ok with the button so far (have you asked Matt to implement the mouse support in EFS? Any idea when they plan it?).

I will find some litterature about speed lines and send them to you if you don't know the concept.

                    Thanks, Matt.

                      Matt:

I understand the concepts of both but some specific examples and/or formulas would help. Regarding the mouse input... I know they are thinking about it but no ETA as of yet.

                        Add buttons

Any future versions of So9 to add 30 degree multiple buttons and expand the range to more than 360 degrees?

                            hi chris,

                            love your volume provile study.
any chance to get it for tick charts ?

                            thanks,
                            matt

                              Matt:

The issue is that the linedraw functions do not currently work with tick charts. If and when a set of linedraw functions are made available that do work with tick charts, I should be able to put something together. A separate issue, however, would be CPU overhead required to maintain the accumulators when tick data is being used as the interval.... it might be too much.

                                chris,

not being a programer, I was wondering why the pivot efs draws lines on a tick chart. and if I want fib retracements I put them on a min chart and switch to tick right after, lines are just fine then. I guess your efs is much more complex. as to the cpu load I would only use the "historic" volume, not a realtime one.

                                thanks again.
