Limited Volume Bar data

Hey,

For some reason when I select like a 15000 volume bar chart of the NQ I only get like 10 bars or so, is there anyway to have the data show more bars ?

The information I provided earlier was not entirely accurate so I am reposting my reply.
By default tick-based charts such as tick-bars, volume-bars, seconds-bars, etc will download whatever number of days of data are required to fill a chart unless otherwise defined in the Time Template for that specific interval.
This is because by default the Time Templates for tick-based intervals are set to Dynamic.
For information on Time Templates and how to use them you may want to review this article in the eSignal KnowledgeBase
To view more days of tick-based data (up to a current maximum of 10) you can either scroll the chart backwards which will intiate new data requests or define that specific interval in the Time Template and set it to load the required # Days as shown in the following sample template



Enclosed below is the chart with 5 days of volume-bars as per the sample Time Template

Hi

I've set up a Time Template to use only 60 bars (I think 60 maybe maximum?) and it works fine with Intervals of Time (minutes and hours) but when I select Ticks or Volume Bars the Advanced chart back fills the entire chart - ignoring my bar limit template.

Any thoughts? I'm trying to achieve a quicker load.

At this time it is not possible to define the Start/End times or how many bars are to be loaded in tick based charts (ie intervals T, V, S, P or R such as 10T, 500V, 2R, etc) because these intervals download/display data only in whole day segments. You can only define how many days of tick based data you want to download/display [up to a current maximum of 10 days].
