Fair enough Marwan, but you cannot describe the System Staus as "green" when there is NO GRAPH DATA. That is totally illogical. System Status should be "yellow" indicating a problem of some sort with your data/network until it is completely fixed - which it is not at present.

Hehe, paissa! No I am not satisfied, the System Status is still "green", suggesting everything is fine, yet there are now 2 "yellow" components - "eSignal Network - No Data" and "Charting - No Data/User/PSW".

So I repeat, how can the System Status possibly be "green" when 2 of the major System Categories are "yellow" with NO DATA making them unusable? Totally illogical.

              Oh and this message:

              "eSignal Data Manager, No Data.
Our servers are now allowing clients to connect, this is a slow process and may take some time for data to come through. "

has been up for over an hour. Sure is a real slow process to connect lol !

              3 hours and counting..........

I agree blackhawk, I'm sick of Esignal nickle and diming me to death with all these BS fees like the "regional fee".

I guess I just got my reason to open an IB account and use their data and another chart vendor at the end of the month.

                Ciao Esignal.

                  hi ROB

I understand. I have the same problem, though I have my brokers data, all my systems are working with esignal :-(((((

I am astonished to see the System Status as green, when to me this is a major problem.

                    In my opinion,

-if ALL components of eSignal are up, the status should be green.

-if some minor component is down, then I would expect it be yellow.

-if any MAJOR component is down - such as CHARTING - I would expect it to be red.

I have such data chart soft (quotetracker), It's working well but you need to backfill to get historical data. That's a limited alternative to a real soft like esignal. So don't say ciao but maybe only arrivederci.

PS: I assume that we are all traders here right? But I don't find any patience here. Weird

I don't care about the bells and whistles, I want something that works.

I would be patient if IEsignal didn't have their fee structure set up the way to milk you for every nickel they can.

I am patient and accept problems with data/feeds/servers/etc occur from time to time whoever your supplier may be. Annoying though it is, I accept it as one of those somewhat frustrating factors of trading.

What I object to is the System Status being claimed as "green" to give the impression "everything is working normally" when 2 of the 6 System Category components are "yellow" and NOT WORKING at all (why are they not "red" by the way?) ie 1/3rd of the components of eSignal are not working! As it happens, the graphing and data feed input to another application are the only things I use eSignal for and neither are currently working so that is 100% to me, but that is by the way.

Tom, sums it up nicely below and that is how I too would expect the System Status to operate.

Maybe an eSignal representative could please explain how the System Status works and why it is currently displaying "green" and not either "yellow" or "red"? I would not have an issue if it were displaying "yellow" even though I feel it should be "red", but "green" is totally incorrect and I would suggest deliberately misleading.

Our engineers are still recovering servers, and I can assure you that all staff are working hard to get things back to normal.

                                This is critical.
