I talked to the tech guys at esignal and basically they told me that not enough people are having this problem to make it worth while for them to make it a priority to fix. And they said that while they would not want to loose me as a customer.they understand why I would switch,,,.but the truth is they don't really care ...it has been well over a month and still nothing has been done to fix this problem......

Close eSignal and the Data Manager. Then in the Windows directory open winros.ini. In it look for a string that says freeze= followed by a value. What value is it?

zang.... this problem has been driving them crazy because it hasn’t been widespread.... i can help you with a temporary fix, as well as assure you that they're top guys are now informed on this problem and will be working to fix is very soon.
The problem seems to lie in the Linking feature... try messing with the color linkage - unlink your quote window from everything and then re-link charts/other windows one by one... I believe it occurs when it is linked to an AdvancedChart... confirm this first.

Thank you for your reply...That is right it occurs when it is linked to a advanced chart...But I have tied everything that I can think of...as well as everything the tech guys at esignal can think of and nothing seems to help....

The fix is apparently on the server side, and should be rolled out before the end of June. It's in final testing right now. Server rollouts tend to take longer than the client software rollouts since they affect all users and not just the ones that upgrade the software.

Well i have downloaded 7.9.1 and when I type a NYSE symbol that is linked to a advanced chart...the News number flashes for less then a second then is disappears until either a trade goes off or the quote is updated
