Hi-
Does any know of a way to have tick data not lock-up on a screen as the market starts to move on high volume.
I'm running a 2gb 1 gb ram computer with 4 screens. I have displayed one 3000tick chart, one 1500 tick chart and 0ne 10,000 tick chart. When the market is moving slowly the charts can typically keep up but whenever any volume comes in, they all can freeze-up for the entire high volume move.
I have 7 days of historal data on each chart (which I believe is the max.
Using minute or second data is not an option for me because of the type of indicators I use (which are only effective on tick data)
If it's a matter of upgrading to an even more powerful computer than I will do that but it would be helpful if anyone out there is having success running 3 or 4 tick charts in a successful computer set-up.
If there is a way to do something with my tick data set-up or time template, I would obviously try that first .
I would imaging that someone out there is successfully using 3 or more tick charts.
Thanks for any help
