  • Quote Window problem

    Hi.
    I have just downloaded V7.3. replacing V7.0.

In my Quote window I have the headings. Bid/Ask/Last/Change/Bid Size/Ask Size.
(this is not the latest style of quote window)

The problem is that the Last and Change for the NQ M3 and ES M3 go blank after a last price and/or do not show at all when there is a price change..

    Help appreciated

    Try the following.
Close down eSignal and Data Manager.
Then go to your windows directory and open winros.ini.
In winros.ini do a Search for the word "freeze" (without quotation marks).
    Does it say freeze=1?
If yes change that to freeze=0 then Save the file and close it after which you can restart eSignal.
If no then it may be an issue of changing the colors on the Quote Window.

      Alex.
The Freeze number was already set to 0.

Thx for your suggestion re: colours.
However I can't see that it is this.

The colours are working for all other fields ie. Bid/ Ask/Bid size etc..

Only on the Last and Change fields are the figures disappearing.

They are showing now and again, but its sporadic..

in fact as I type I'm noticing the bid for the YM M3 is blak as is the Bid size for this .

The Last and Change are still blank for the ES M3 and NQ M3..even when there is a price change on the bid or ask.

Is there a specific file I could perhaps downlaod for this function..it seems like some thing has got corrupted..

      thx

Put the Quote Window in a zip file and attach it to a message.
Another thing you can try is to Move the file Quo.new out of eSignal folder (don't Delete it yet) then open a new Quote Window and see if it happens again.

Seems to be working fine here (see attached image). I also changed fonts without any problems
Have you tried Moving quo.new out of eSignal folder then opening a new Quote Window?

Someone from eSignal will have to look into this because at this point I have no idea as to why this is happening.

                    Appreciate your help..
I may uninstal esignal and do a new download..

When I downlaoded this v7.3 I saved it in the existing esignal folder for v7.0..do you know if that was correct to do..?

                    Thx

Saving it in the same folder should not be a problem per se. What may be a problem is running the installer in the same folder you are installing to.

                        Alex.

Yes the Installer for v7.3 was in the older v7.0 folder.

                        thx

The next time you download just save the installer package to a different folder (My Documents for example) and install from there.

I think it may be wise at this point to do uninstall before reinstalling.
Attached is a Word document created by JayF from eSignal that details the steps for a clean uninstall.
