  • Cursor Tracking Failure

Since build 1086, cusror tracking between multiple charts fails (not the data-window-cursor, the "Cursor-Tracking" cursor -- the one with the arrow pointer in the active chart).
Background: I use 4 charts of ES#F set to different intervals (e.g., 89P, 377P, 5051V, 512T). Prior to build 1086, when I observed an interesting phenomenon, I could place my cursor over the target event and all charts' crosshairs moved with the active-chart crosshair, showing me at a glance how each chart's indicators reacted at that moment in time.
With 1086, each inactive chart's crosshair sits numbly wherever it happened to be when I moved to a different chart. Usually. But not always. If there are multiple charts with IDENTICAL intervals, they track. If multiple charts are set to a TIME interval (90S, 1,3,5) they track. But I rarely use time intervals, so I am frustrated by this glitch.
"LiveRep" states this is too complex an issue to be addressed by them. Long-distance toll-intensive phone support's only advice was that (since I write most of my own indicators) I must have created a study which was causing a conflict. I removed ALL studies from my system, and of course nothing changed. My emails to tech support remain ignored.
Frequently, when stymied by something like this, it's my fault -- I'll have neglected to set some toggle, or forgotten some simple rule of operation. Have I done something to screw up cursor operation?
Has preliminary work on the new tick buffer scheme eliminated an essential feature? HELP!

With r4 I've noticed it is no longer reliable. With simple (n mins) charts all in the eSig window it seems to work. With vol and sub 1 min charts (ie I assume both "tick" based), and which I also tend to have "poped out" it sometimes works, but is certainly not reliable. For instance this morning pre-open I was moving the mouse in a poped-out chart and noticed no other windows updated. This evening (after reading your post and with market close) I see that sometimes the cursors sync, but usually they don't. Typical, anyway glad it's not just me.

Hello, I agree. My Cursor Tracking works on some charts and not others. It will not work on a Range Bar chart. For example: If I have a minute, tic, volume and range bar charts up the Cursor Tracking works on the minute, tic and volume charts but not the range bar chart. It is very frustrating....and needs to be fixed.
Must be a bug in there somewhere.

      Thanks
