  • Display problem with 120 minute chart

Found out that esignal displays candlestick bars not according to the underlying data.

If you take look at the screenshot on 1/25 ET H8-DT opened with a gap and closed at 3909. (the green bar that closes outside the BB). However the next red bar opens way lower as if there was a intraday gap which is very unlikely.

First i thought this was a data issue but when i looked at smaller timeframes like 60 or 30 minutes everything is displayed correctly. Also if i use a 3rd party app using the same esignal feed its displayed the way it should be.

And yes i am using the latest esignal build .

Same thing with the DAX future. Esignal displays intraday gaps on 1/28 and 1/31 between 8 and 12am local time.

Using different timeframes everything seems fine. And again this problem doesnt occur when using a 3rd party sw using a 120 min timeframe.

FWIW at my end the first 120 minutes bars of 1/25 for ET H8 closes at 3892.00 which seems to match the closing values of the other intervals for that period. Also the candles for AX H8 appear to match the opening and closing values of the other intervals (see enclosed screenshots)
As a first step try refreshing the data (using Ctrl+OK) and if the problem persists try restarting both eSignal and the Data Manager and see if that resolves the issue you are having. If not then you may want to contact eSignal's support directly as they are best equipped to determine what the issue could be and to provide a solution.

        Alex,

thanks for your quick response, as always very helpful.

Im not new to esignal and therefore i know that restarting both esignal and datamanager does the trick for most backfilling issues. But not this time. I restarted both quite a few times.
