Re: Reply to post 'Download leaves out midnight to open'
Thank you, Alexis and a redownload which appears to have cleaned up the
database has also set up the vol data such that it is now being presented in
the TS Chart and goes all the way back a month or more. So, all seems to be
working smoothly. Next, I'll tackle your idea's for setting the ES up with
#F and as a stock and the my = 2 (which I hope is included in your guide,
since I am just guessing that it is "month-year" related)

Given that you already have ES U3 set up as a Future then I would suggest using ES #F and ES #F=2 as Stock (sorry for the confusion I may have created with my which is indeed month/year but for me includes also #F).
The setups for both will be identical the only difference being the Session settings and they are both included in the guide.

Re: Reply to post 'Download leaves out midnight to open'
The instructions are easy to follow. One additional question, however. In
attempting to download history with the plug-in ... The plug-in will not
list the new symbol .... replying with "symbols no found". However, the
plug-in finds any other symbol highlighted for a download.
I restarted GS hoping that would handle it. It did not.

Re: Reply to post 'Download leaves out midnight to open'
Alexis ... Where there are three choices (Index, Future, Stock) to place a
check mark in the download window I placed a check mark in the stock choice.
I also created the NQ U3 and that downloads normal. Also added NQ #F
substituting in every place where an entry is asked for in adding a symbol
the " NQ #F " and the plug-in says "symbols no found" ... and this raises
the question: Does that symbol go into every place where a symbol or root
symbol might be entered? Or is it possible that NQ U3 or just NQ might be
required in one or more dialog windows?

Disregard my last message (which I have now deleted) suggesting to create ES #F as an Index as I just realized why the Plugin cannot find the symbol (and rightly so).
In the Plugin under the Items right click on Stock and select Edit Item. Then add CME as the Exchange for Stock as the Category. That is why it could not find the symbol.
Let me know if it now works

Re: Reply to post 'Download leaves out midnight to open'
Now, with a few hours of testing, it appears the setup with ES #F is working
well with less chart flicker and much lower CPU usage while scrolling. Max
scrolling is 30% with avg range from 1 to 4% and bumps to 8-11%. Previous
using ES U3 as future ran the CPU to 100% easily with a scroll.

That mirrors exactly what has been my experience with setting up the minis as Index instead of Future.
Here is some information on how eSignal handles the rollovers in the emini #F contracts.
The #F=2 contract switches to the new front month at 8:30 CST on rollover day while the #F contract switches to the new front month at the open of the session of the rollover day (ie at 15:45 CST of the day prior to rollover). The latter is done to prevent changing contracts at 8:30 CST ie. while the session is open.
