  • no download problem

I'm having a problem with the plugin. I am trying to dowload FOREX tick data.

Everything looks perfect in the "downlaod from esignal" dialog. I select my symbols in the "Symbols to Download" dialog and click OK. The status shown in the Download Performance dialog goes immediately from "No Requests" to "Download Complete", with Recieved and Processed fields showing 0.

So no ticks are coming down at all. I got this to work once, but not again.

Which 1 Tick data are you downloading?
With FOREX you need to select 1 Tick for Bid and/or Ask Records and not Trade Record.

You can select Trade Record only for 1 Minute, 5 Minute and 1 Day

I am requesting 1 tick for bid records only. No ask or trade records and no 1 min or higher bars. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Could you post a screenshot showing the ActiveX Plugin (similar to the one I posted in my earlier message)?
Also what symbol are you tring to download?

The selected symbols for download are on the third dialog:
            CHF A0-FX
            EUR A0-FX
            EURCHF A0-FX
            EURJPY A0-FX
            GBP A0-FX
            GBPJPY A0-FX
            JPY A0-FX

They are all selected, so I should be downloading quotes for all seven. Even if I select a single symbol from the seven, say CHF A0-FX, I still get the same result.

... all 7 symbols are already highlighted, I click OK to start download. After a second, the performance monitor updates to look like this...

I can replicate what you are experiencing.
It seems that if you have only either Bid or Ask Record set in the History Settings then the program makes no request to the tick servers.
While awaiting for a comment on this from TS Support you can implement the following solution.
Edit the Forex Item and add the Ask Record 1 Tick. Then when you select the Items to Download select ONLY the Bid Record 1 Tick (as shown in the image below) and the download will function properly.
