MACDColorHist.efs - Modifications

Can you alter this so that it does the exact same thing just with the 'drop down' lines rather than a 'histogram' ?

Here's an upgraded formula for you. Try it out.
Formula Parameters:
Fast Length - 12
Slow Length - 26
Smoothing Length - 9
Price Source - Close (Open, High, Low, Close, HL/2, HLC/3, OHLC/4)
MA Type - SMA (SMA, EMA)
MACD Hist Up Color - Green
MACD Hist Down Color - Red
MACD Color - Red
MACD Sig Color - Blue

A few things if you could.

a. Only need drop down lines for the MACD, not the signal line.
b. Can you remove the histogram ? Or give an option to. I didnt want to see it.

b) Now has an option to turn the display of the Histogram on or off.

Im feeling guilty now because maybe i left out the vital part i was hoping for... which is to be able to have different color drop down lines than macd. So if the macd is orange, the drop down lines would be green if it were positive & red if it were negative.

As it currently is - its actually exactly the same thing as the regular macd with regards to what i can create...

No problem at all. I set the drop down lines to change to the colors set by MACD Hist Up Color and MACD Hist Down Color. You have a good weekend also.

quick last question

How do you get rid of the study title in the lower pane ?
The override in the edit/studies only changes the cursor title... and in the study pane its a huge line of text & data.
I edited the efs to shrink the name to just 'macd', but it still has all the other data in it.

Hi Scott,

Right click on your chart, select Properties and uncheck "Draw Study Titles."

perfect, thank, one small problem is if I edit the study, apply it, click ok then try to re-edit it again the right slider will disappear, I have to close out the chart then re-load it then when I edit the slider will be there.
