thanks for responding so quickly! only problem i have is that the prices & octave labels don't line up with the lines.

I was wondering if this is how the labels are meant to appear in your study. Attached is another snapshot in which I have compressed the price panel to demonstrate how these labels appear on my chart. Is this how you mean them to appear?

How do you install these libraries? Also, I tried to open the .efsLib files but I was prompted for a password. Is the source code available?

dsgetValueAtTime()

I wrote a script to calculate same-time volume moving averages using dsgetValueAtTime(). When I run the EFS it crashes eSignal. Anybody knows what could be the problem?

Yes, I see the problem. With the larger lookback settings it is basically causing eSignal to run out of resources. I will play around with the library to see if I can come up with a more efficient way of doing it.

HULL Moving Average HMA

Hi,
Is there any chance you could make this great indicator?
I got it from ensign website on their latest free newsletter.
It is only one line like a moving average but it is modified and all the setting needed are in that newsletter.
I would like the line to change color rising or falling and be able to change the length and the thickness.
Thats it.

I placed one that matches the Ensign description in my Specialty Scripts group in the Miscellaneous Folder. I'm fairly certain that there are other Hull MA scripts in the File Share as well.

Thanks Chris. I look forward for the same-time VMA indicator to work with the dsUtilities functions. I'll post the EFS here when it will work fine.

With some minor tweaks to the original formula, I put together an EFS that calculates same-time VMA for $TVOL (NYSE intraday cumulative volume indicator). The same EFS can also be used to plot NASDAQ volumes by entering $TVOLQ in the parameters list.
You must set a time template in your chart to contain at least as many days as the value specified in the VMA parameter. For more information check out this thread.

Hello,
I just downloaded the five B-Line scripts form the Specialty Scripts group.

But the Output Formula window says " 2X_BLiine-PricePane.efs. line 309: Formula file not found: __StochasticAltPrice.efs. "

What do I need to do to get it to work?

Oh....I see what the problem is now.

When I copied the file name I failed to include the two underscores in front of the file name.

StochasticAltPrice.efs

Instead of:
__StochasticAltPrice.efs

It is working fine now.

I uploaded a new EFS2 Library File to my Specialty Scripts group that includes a set of routines that encapsulate the eSignal EFS FunctionParameter class. In addition to making it a little easier to set up EFS menus, these routines also allow you to create scripts where the end user can set their own default values.... a feature that previously was only available in the eSignal Built-In indicators.

All files are in a zip, which includes an installation readme file as well as 3 example scripts.
