I have been able to replicate the issue with the MC M8=2 charting issue (as compared to other symbols such as ES, AB etc).

I have been able to observe the gaps in the MC M8=2 chart.

I have forwarded this to our data team for further investigation.

maybe you can also ask those guys WHY there is a problem at all for this single market.

and WHY this problem exists since the beginning of new livecharts - for many months now and nobody on your side seems to care about it!?

really - i want to know this.

Sorry for the confusion, customer service was already looking into this issue. I'm not sure why nobody else saw it... but it will be fixed, most likely by the end of the week. BTW you will start seeing the new time scale for 1 minute charts by the end of the week too.

          Example:

this example looks not so bad.

but one line every 15 min. (like old version) would be better (15,30,45,60). lines should always be at full hours, etc.

hopefully not only for 1 min. charts but for any interval it will be fine.

lines at odd times are annoying - as you might know.

                  another bug:

                  take symbols

                  es m8
                  ab m8
                  nq m8
                  mc m8

                  - daily bar chart with volume:

the latest (current) volume bar has same length like the previous one - ALWAYS.

example: es m8 right now about 25,000 lots traded - volume bar shows "1706127" (yesterdays total volume).

                  this is obviously not correct.

                    For symbols such as these.

For Volume we use Standard Volume, which is the exchange total volume we receive at the end of the day. This is what is sent by the exchange, and contains corrections and deletions.

Cumulative Volume is a field we recently added to the Portfolio section of LiveCharts, which updates with electronic volume for the current day.

The suggestion to alter how volume is displayed on charts for these symbols has been passed to management.

With regards to the question related to the 9:30 bar values for ab m8=2 vs ab m8

                            ab m8=2 / ab m8

9.30 bar shows difference between these two symbols.

bar starts at 742,00 for ab m8=2 and at 741,70 for ab m8.

for symbol ab m8=2 bar started not exactly at 9.30.
The synthetic =2 contracts begin to update when a similar contract begins it's first pit trade.

AB M8=2 will begin to update when RL M8 makes it's first trade in the pit. RL opens trading at 8:30 AM CT and it usually takes a few seconds for the person on the floor to report the first trade.

Whereas AB has been open all night and will usually have a trade right at 8:30 CT, which results in the difference between the two with regards to the first bar. All subsequent bars for AB M8 and AB M8=2 will be the same.

                            ES is based on SP
                            NQ is based on ND
                            MC is based on MD
                            AB is based on RL
                            YM is based on DJ

The =2 symbols were initially created to allow clients to see how the mini contrats performed while the big contracts were open on the floor.

sorry - maybe i'm too dumb - but this makes NO sense.

ab m8 and ab m8=2 is the SAME market.

                              and you mentioned here:

that data comes in under one signal and esignal then divides it into two parts - right or not?

we have one market - the russell 2000 mini - which has a regular trading session from 9.30 to 16.15 ny time - and a globex (or overnight) session.

what you describe is illogical. how did the old version handle this issue? we never had such a problem back then.

again - why do we need two or more symbols for one market?

at the old version we had mr08h for example - and the "24 hr" button - and it worked PERFECTLY.

you make changes and create a whole bunch of problems - and nobody knows why!!!???

i have to wonder if their developers are US based or offshore

i dont care what anyone says US based developers are usually hands down better than the offshore version, just wondering if thats where the difficulties really lie in all this
