As you will have realised by now, it is simply that dead signal is unbelievably late, as it is so unacceptably often these days.

I can not imagine that questions like this will encourage eSignal staff to interact with us on this forum.

As said, I understand all frustrations, got some myself. But lets keep things objective here.

              Thanks,

              Edo.

So whydoesn't it show on the status page that there is a problem wtih data.

                This is the same sos

and yes this has been going on for a month

if esig cannot provide real time data then they should just say so and not charge for 'real time'.

                • Hi All,

Below is a copy of today's updated Service Bulletin on this problem. We'll continue to update this as warrented. As always, please refer to system status when experiencing problems.

                  1/27/03 Update:

We experienced a major outage today, impacting several European markets, from the open and lasting beyond 2 hours. Several problems occurred but the length of the outage was primarily a result of the changes that we made over the weekend in attempt to improve the sporadic lags noted previously. Our internal testing did not uncover the problems and we were only able to discover the problem(s) once the market activity kicked-in. While it's likely little consolation, we consider this situation urgent and extremely serious. Our engineers continue to devote all of their energies to resolving these problems and re-establishing our European Feed as both reliable and timely. Today's issues are now under control and we are anticipating a much better day tomorrow.

To make today's situation even worse, the incoming exchange data was interrupted before it was to be processed by our main development system. Therefore, we were unable to capture the tick and interval data (during this outage) and are unable to re-populate our intra-day history servers accordingly.

On a final note, we will devote more energy to keeping our System Status page updated as quickly as possible as we get new information from our Network.

Please accept our sincere apologies for these continuing problems. As one of the leading data vendors, we clearly understand the importance of providing reliable data. We are failing to meet that standard when it comes to our European feed and we are doing everything in our power to improve and stabilize this situation as quickly as possible

                  Regards,
                  Andy S.

                    hi andy,

as we maybe all do not know how much data already has been missing before yesterdays problem, i suggest that you buy the data from the exchanges, cqg or somebody else and load it in your database. this will not be a major investment for esignal and would rebuild some of the credibility esignal definitly lost during the last days... losing money on wrongly calculated studies is worse that spending some bugs on this...

                              • Just to let you know that MT F3-MA (CAC-40 future) is working fine so far.

Problems regarding Ensign seem to have disappeared too.
